Machine learning-based modified BAT score in predicting hematoma enlargement after spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage

Spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (SICH), which accounts for 10–30% of all strokes, remains one of the most fatal diseases worldwide [1,2]. Due to its high morbidity, disability and mortality, SICH not only seriously affects the quality of life, but also increases the social burden to varying degrees [3]. Moreover, approximately one-third of patients with SICH experience hematoma enlargement (HE) shortly after the symptom onset, which is related to worse clinical outcomes[2,4]. Fortunately, HE could be potentially prevented through aggressive blood pressure therapy [5].
